Nolan uPVC manufactures and installs windows and doors crafted using high-quality, modern materials such as uPVC and aluminium. All of which can be outfitted with double or even triple glazing, depending on your budget and energy efficiency needs. Aluminium and uPVC are robust materials that can withstand heavy impacts or forceful blows without warping or cracking. When combined with our tight seals and innovative trickle vent systems, your double glazing can remain safe and efficient for decades with only minimal upkeep! All it takes to keep your windows and doors looking almost as good as the day they were installed is a wet sponge or cloth to wipe away any build-up dirt or rain marks. Additionally, aluminium and uPVC make fantastic frames to keep double glazing safe and long-lasting, thanks to their easy replacement or repairability. Plus, they’re both easily recyclable materials, which can further reduce the carbon footprints of our Wales and South Wales customers. Unlike timber frames which can splinter or fade, our modern materials don’t ever need to be sanded or repainted so everything about your installations is likely to remain good as new without any maintenance for the homeowner! Both double and triple glazing has an average lifespan of 20 years. Triple glazing comes with the added benefit of up to 40% increased thermal efficiency compared to double glazing. Plus, triple glazing tends to be much thicker than double glazing, which means that both the frames and hinges must be made stronger to compensate for the increased weight. This can have the added benefit of increasing the durability of the glazing, as the frames and hinges being made stronger can protect the glass better. However, as there are two gaps set between three panes of glass, there is a slightly increased likelihood for condensation to emerge towards the end of the glazings lifespan.
